Legacies of Suffering: The Discourses of Restoration Martyrology in Eighteenth-Century Scottish and English Politics

About My Project
My research focuses on religious and political dissidence in seventeenth- and early eighteenth-century Scotland, specifically the role of martyrs and gender in political discourse.
Though exhausted from travel and COVID-19 travel requirements, I was focused on seeing the historical sites around the city but most importantly, visiting the University of Aberdeen’s archives.
