During the summer, I intend to travel to Mondulkiri, Cambodia, to volunteer with the Mondulkiri Provincial Referral Hospital, which helps to strengthen the resilience and spirit of “Koun Khmer” (The People of Cambodia), whose lives have been deeply impacted by the aftermath of the war, instilling in them a sense of pride and hope for the future. My project aims to take a community-engaged approach to research and relationship building to understand maternal health issues in this rural area of Cambodia.
